Heavy Metal Month II – Day 14 – Song About Fire

I know some of you were expecting Amon Amarth’s Death In Fire here, but (Spoiler Warning) they will be making an appearance later on the list.

Instead, we’re going to feature their blackened countrymen, King of Asgard. …To North was the first album of theirs I heard, and the opening song, The Nine Worlds Burn, still has a strong impact on me. That almost black metal riff echoing under Karl Beckmann’s pained vocals just adds to the desperation as Ragnarök is happening and literally everything is on fire.

In short — I fucking love this song.
